Millions of people throughout the world are suffering each and every day because of back pain problems. It can be a truly painful condition, and it can have a adverse impact on our lives. However, with the right kinds of exercises for back pain you will be able to make a great difference and start improving your symptoms and how you feel,  everyday. Use this quick guide to help get going in the right direction, and you will be living a happier, healthier and more complete lifestyle.

Stretching for back pain relief:

One of the key areas to focus on is really stretching out your lower back and your core muscle group. These include your abdominals and obliques in addition to your lower back and even include your butt and hamstrings as well to a degree. By working on and stretching these together, you will improve your range of motion and will add strength as well.

For example; you can try the lying in the superman pose. Lie down on your stomach on the floor with your arms straight out in front of you. Raise your chest slightly and lift your arms a few inches off the floor. Hold the pose for a few seconds, then lower and repeat. For more difficulty you can raise your legs at the same time, or you can work in alternations such as raising your left leg and right arm, and then your right leg and left arm and so forth.

It is advisable to avoid lifting heavy weights when you are undertaking specific exercises for back pain. If you do engage in weight training, use lighter weights that you can easily manage, and focus on more repetitions while maintaining proper form. Using too much weight is a common source of back pain problems, from the direct stress of the weight in addition to the poor form that will result.

Additionally, focus on compound exercises and lifts that really build complete body strength as opposed to focusing on small, individual muscles and muscle groups. When in doubt though, stick to using bodyweight exercises and stretching techniques such as those described above.

Back pain problems don’t have to slow you down for good, and they don’t have to completely alter the way that you live your life. Learn to utilize the right kinds of exercises for back pain and you can make some really big changes in the way that you feel. Also pay attention to the other guidelines and tips listed above, and take advantage of all of the resources available to you in order to take care of your problem once and for all.

More Natural back pain relief strategies:

Back pain relief strategies can also include natural ways to relieve back pain. In most instances the natural approach will ease back pain as quick as popping a pill.

Ice Initially

One of the easiest and quickest ways to ease back pain is to use ice in the first 48 hours. Ice will act as a pain reliever and help to reduce inflammation. Place ice on the area for 10 minutes and then rest for 10 minutes. Repeat this 3 times and do this often during the day in those first 48 hours.

Ease Muscle Tension

The next method is the obvious one. You need to stretch. Stretching will help to ease muscle tension which is one of the more common causes of pain. Stretching should be gentle in those first days as overdoing it can actually aggravate your backache.

If your back pain is severe, then use the ice in those first 48 hours and then after that start stretching. In lesser cases, stretching can be used almost immediately.

Garlic for Massage

Finally, the last technique was given to me by a Naturopath friend. Garlic oil will actually help to reduce the inflammation and pain of backache. All you need to do is grab some garlic, take about 10 small garlic pieces and then slowly fry them in little oil. You can use sesame oil, coconut oil or mustard oil. You must fry till the garlic cloves turn a light brown color. Let the garlic cool completely then rub it into your backache area. Having someone massage it into your back may be easiest at times.

Relieving back pain temporarily is not a good idea. The techniques above will help ease your back pain, you should add to this though. Complete back pain relief is easy and quick if you use the right methods. Your goal should be to remove the cause and symptoms of your backache.
