Then the muscle will relax more and for longer. Make sure you are positioned right – if do not have the right position you can actually traumatize the muscle, leading to it becoming even tighter.

If you plan to stretch to relieve lower back pain, then stretching correctly is the key. Your muscles should relax, your back pain eases and you can enjoy life again without back pain.
